Rob Gronkowski will report to training camp on time

Rob Gronkowski still doesn’t have a revised contract, but he apparently remains super excited about training camp.

The Patriots tight end will report on time with the team July 25, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

It matches what Gronkowski said earlier this month about being super excited and super ready to get going.

His only offseason work with the team came during the mandatory minicamp last month. Gronkowski said working out on his own was the best thing for me.

Hyatt withdrew from the NFL draft to return at left tackle for a Clemson O-line that helped pave the way for 40 rushing touchdowns a season ago. If he maintains his high standard of performance on Kelly Bryant’s (or Trevor Lawrence’s) blind side, he should become the first offensive lineman in school history to make the All-ACC first team three times.

There were a bunch of people standing around, but not approaching the car and I was like ‘What’s up, let’s help this guy,’ Loewen said, via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. I mean, obviously there was someone in there, I wasn’t going to just stand by and watch. It was a life or death situation.

The group was able to get the car upright after realizing the man couldn’t get out and Loewen was able to wrench the door open so that he could reach the injured driver. Loewen said there was a lot of blood and broken glass, but New Orleans police say the driver is expected to survive his injuries.

It was like a movie. I just did what I had to do, and I wasn’t thinking about anything else, Loewen said.

Loewen signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2016 and played two games last season before going on injured reserve in September.

Last week, the league office sent a memo to all teams reminding them of the logistics associated with finalizing long-term contracts before the looming deadline. Per a source with knowledge of the memo, the following items must be submitted to the league office before 4:00 p.m. ET: (1) a formal message reporting the signing; (2) an ECRS form (whatever that is); and (3) a .pdf or fax copy of the contract signed by both the club and player.
